Happy Birthday, Oscar Baby Man! (plus Artwork)

Tuesday (Feb 17th) was Oscar’s 1st Birthday!

I can’t believe it’s already been a year…er, ah…it’s only been a year?!?  *sigh* It’s been nice being able to embark on my new project working from home so that I can stay with him.  Plus, during the day is the best time to take baby pictures!  Natural daylight!

Here I caught baby Oscar playing in the curtains again.  He loves to look out the window in the living room–the window sill is very low.  So he can have a good view of our nutty neighbors doing all their crazy, wacky things (but that’s a story for another day).

Oscar has learned some new tricks in time for his first birthday.  He was an early walker and so has progressed beyond that to things like running, running in circles, running while holding toys in his hands to bang together, running away with the remote control, and, of course,  chasing after the cats.  Oscar also likes to cheer (Yaaaay!) while clapping.  He also says “Mama”, “Uh-Oh!”, “Noooooo!”, and “Bob” which he says all the time.  I wish we actually knew someone named Bob.

Here is one of my recent additions to my shop:

Toxic — Orange Flowers — Original Watercolor Painting 4×6″

I am a colorist at heart.  I love being able to play with colors and visual textures and use them in unexpected ways.  I find this to be very expressive.

Oscar is such a cutie! I chuckled along with his current words.
I have an 18 month old and she says da-deee, maaa, mama, baby, bye, and bucha-bee, to which we respond, \’Where\’s the bunch o\’ bees?\’ (she has also been known to say \’ded bucha-bee\’ and \’baby bee\’ at which I feel like exploding from the cuteness).

Love your blog! Glad to have found you through Entrecard.

I\’ve found Artfire to be not steady with sales yet, tons of views though. I\’ve made 13 sales in 4 months, 2 to G. Brit. Of course, it\’s beta so there are bugs to work through but I really believe that in the next year Artfire will be THE place for artisans. The really listen to the needs and concerns of the artists and act on problems immediately. They don\’t close threads that question their actions; they participate in those threads! While they\’re running a business and need to make money themselves they do everything they can to put the artists\’ needs before or at least equal to the financial needs. They\’ve already featured me on the front page and published two of my articles! Good luck!

Wow! … it came out of itself at first glimpse. This is just awesome. Your colors …- you revive the flat paper and the picture talks.
the fabulous photo of your son proves we are living in the wonderland.
Thank you for the awakening. You warmed my heart.

Oscar is adorable! Little kids are supposed to be more in tune with the spirit world, do you think maybe he’s met a ghost named Bob? Might be interesting to research it and see if anyone by that name who has since passed on used to live in your house.
